What Is Basel Art Summer Camp?
Basel Art Summer Camp 2026 is a five-day pop-up art event taking place from June 16–20, 2026 at HYVE Hostel. Designed as an accessible and community-driven alternative to the traditional art fair circuit, Basel Art Summer Camp brings together emerging artists, curious visitors, collectors, and creatives from around the world in a relaxed and interactive environment during Art Basel 2026 week.
The event includes:
A gallery exhibition featuring emerging contemporary artists
An affordable art shop with prints, posters, and original works
Artist talks, workshops, and networking events
Social spaces for creative exchange and collaboration
Whether you’re interested in contemporary art, event production, community building, or cultural programming, volunteering offers a unique behind-the-scenes experience in Basel’s art scene.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and curious volunteers to support the event throughout the week.
This is an ideal opportunity for:

Anyone interested in gaining hands-on experience in the art world
Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 1–2 afternoon shifts between June 16–20, 2026.
Volunteer Job Responsibilities at Basel Art Summer Camp
Depending on your interests and availability, tasks may include:
🎨 Art Support: Assist artists with exhibition installations, setup, and preparation throughout the event.
📦 Artwork Packaging: Help carefully package sold artworks and prepare pieces for collectors and visitors.
🏛 Gallery Tours: Welcome guests and guide visitors through the exhibition space, sharing information about the artists and the project.
📱 Social Media Content: Capture event highlights, artist moments, and behind-the-scenes content for social media platforms.
